The P.A. People only use purpose designed modular base radio systems from RF Technology. These units feature separate hot swappable modules for the Transmit and Receive sections, ensuring the highest possible reliability. Each radio is capable of constant transmit operation and has comprehensive audio interfacing capability.

Our simplex base radios are dual rack mounted Motorola GM338 units, fitted with power supplies and a custom RJ45 audio interface. They are ideal for providing a Push To Talk interface between two way radiosand matrix intercom systems.

All our Base radios are configured with comprehensive multi-coupling and filtering, which we believe are unique to The P.A. People. This ensures radios do not interfere with each other, particularly in larger systems, nor will they be subject to interference from outside sources.

The P.A. People’s extensive inventory of hand held devices are comprised exclusively of Motorola GP338 128ch two way radios. These radios support the concept of multiple zones, each of which can store 16 channels.

Each functional group of people can be assigned a zone. This concept allows all radios to be programmed identically, but each user only sees their group of 16 channels.

Each radio is supplied as standard with a battery charger slot and allowance of 50% spare batteries, and
all units feature the capacity to use an earpiece, and are splash proof.

In-house custom designed PTT interfaces allow the user simple selection of many headset types for the GP338 radios, having the same connector type as all our PartyLine comms, full duplex and key stations.

Experience would dictate that while lightweight headsets may work well for ‘back of house’ users, the use of standard issue lightweight headsets often does not provide sufficient noise isolation for personnel working on the field of play, FOH, Stage, or with fireworks and loud sound reinforcement systems.

The P.A. People also have available Motorola GM338 Mobile radios. These units can serve as desk bound 

radios complete with power supply and external aerial for users interfaced to local ClearCom key

stations, or integrated with party line comms for stand alone applications such as floats.

The P.A. People’s ClearCom FreeSpeak system is fully integrated with the ClearCom Eclipse Matrix,
enabling private conversations between a particular beltpack and an individual key station as well as
group functionality.
 
FreeSpeak is based on DECT cellular technology which facilitates up to six call groups or communications
paths per beltpack. This system operates in the 1880-1930MHz band and its use relieves the congested
areas of spectrum usually used for radio microphones and in-ear transmitters.
 
The units are provided with rechargeable AA NiMH cells, external chargers and spare battery packs,
however Alkaline AA batteries can be substituted in the event that rechargeable batteries are not
suitable.

The P.A. People also provide more traditional analog based duplex wireless intercom systems. Operating in frequency bands between 518-740 MHz, the ClearCom WBS series provides four beltpacs with full duplex communications.
